Growing up we’ve all had someone we looked up to. Whether it was their intelligence, ambition, beauty, or talent, this person was an icon in which we aspired to be.
For me, growing up my icon was Tyra Banks. Not just because we both had the big forehead thing going on, but because Tyra wasn’t just a pretty face, she could do it all…modeling, acting, writing, philanthropy, and most recently hosting and directing.
Before there was Beyonce, Tyra Banks was THE World Wide Woman.
Now, Ms. Banks will always be an icon to me, but Rihanna wins 2nd place…my Beauty Icon.
Ever since her infamous haircut and wardrobe switch up, Rihanna has been gracing the covers of every beauty and fashion magazine and websites…everything from her apparel, makeup to hairstyle is always on point….it’s my opinion, but her fierce photos are pretty much self explanatory.
