Over the Memorial holiday weekend, my family and I took a long overdue trip to Virginia Beach.  I hadn’t been to VA Beach since I was 4 years old, so it was really nice to revisit after 20-something years.  Unfortunately, our trip was delayed by a flat tire, so after waiting hours in the hot sun, I decided I was going to make the most out of the trip.  So we did everything from bicycling, go karts, getting henna tattoos and of course going to the beach.

I didn’t feel like dealing with my hair while I was there, so initially, I decided I was only going to get my feet wet, but once I got further and further into the water and a wave hit me on my head, that option was out the door.  Really, how can you go to the beach and not expect to get your hair wet??
